January 14, 2020, Santa Rosa – Santa Rosa Junior College’s (SRJC) Culinary Café, in the B. Robert Burdo Culinary Arts Center opens on Wednesday, January 22 for the spring semester. Students at the Culinary Café prepare, cook and serve seasonal salads, soups, sandwiches, pizzas, entrees, and desserts. They also serve award-winning Russian River Valley wines produced by SRJC’s Shone Farm Winery. The Café is open for lunch from 11:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., Wednesday through Friday. The SRJC Bakery features a variety of fresh pastries, cookies and artisan bread prepared by students from the Baking and Pastry Program. Bella Rosa coffee drinks, muffins, and scones can be enjoyed between 8:00 a.m. and 10:00 a.m. in the Café Rose dining room while watching students prepare the day's lunch service. Offerings change weekly, reflecting the students’ curriculum and giving them an opportunity to let their artistry shine. Spring selections include seasonal tarts, pies, Danish and croissants. The bakery also features their famed Jambon et Fromage sandwich and grab and go salads.
