Reopening of in-person services canceled through the end of spring 2022

April 18, 2022, Santa Rosa - As the state of the pandemic continues to evolve, and due to the upward trend of positive cases in Sonoma County, my team and I have decided to suspend the Tuesday and Wednesday reopening of most in-person services through the end of the spring 2022 semester.

This decision has not been easy, as we know how vital in-person support services are to our students. However, the safety of our entire SRJC community is a top priority, and we want to ensure that we reopen in-person services only when it is safe to do so.

At this time, we plan to move forward as outlined below. We will continue to assess the situation on an ongoing basis and provide regular updates.

  • All in-person instruction will continue as planned.
  • All in-person services that are currently in place will remain in place.
  • Student Health Services will remain open to support COVID-19 testing, vaccinations, and other essential health services by appointment.
  • The Welcome Back receptions planned for this week will be postponed.

Please remember that we continue to have online student services available, and students who would like assistance accessing services can also reach out to the Welcome & Connect Center.

In addition to requiring that all employees, students, and volunteers coming on-site be fully vaccinated, SRJC continues to encourage COVID-19 booster shots and testing. To schedule a booster, please contact SRJC’s Student Health Services by calling 707-527-4445. Information on COVID-19 testing is also available at the COVID 19 information website.

Thank you for your patience and cooperation as we continue to adapt to the changing state of the pandemic in Sonoma County and for your support in keeping SRJC and our entire college community safe.

With gratitude,

Frank Chong, Ed.D.
